This summer, immerse yourself in the world of filmmaking and digital media with a remote internship at 42 Films India. We offer a unique unpaid learning-working internship designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical industry skills. At 42 Films India, we firmly believe that internships should provide invaluable real-world experience, soft skills, and specialized knowledge that go beyond traditional academic settings. Hence, this internship is structured to ensure that your time and energy are compensated with tangible skills and a strong professional foundation. You will work on independent and group projects, and also attend classes taught by industry professionals. These classes will focus on specialized skill sets such as ‘Soft skills required for the Film Industry,’ ‘How to use AI to enhance your filmmaking,’ ‘Basics of screenwriting – from Instagram reels to full-length screenplays,’ and ‘Introduction to lighting techniques.’ Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate/letter of completion from 42 Films India.

The internship will follow a schedule like – approximately 6 hours of work per day, up to 5 days per week, for 10 weeks. 14 to 17 classes will be conducted throughout the internship, scheduled based on the availability of our industry expert instructors. Internship will run from Mid April to End of June.

Eligibility:

• Final-year student or recent graduate (within one year) from a recognized college.
• Visual Communication students will be given strong preference.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, or After Effects is highly advantageous. Please specify any alternative video editing or VFX software skills you possess.
• For Non Vis Com students: Provide a detailed description of your experience with photo editing, video editing, and graphic design, including specific projects or examples.
• Must be available and committed to working and attending classes throughout the summer (2025)
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to receive and apply constructive criticism.

Responsibilities:

• Take and edit photos, and create graphic design materials such as posters and social media content.
• Shoot short videos of products, events, and people using your smartphone camera.
• Create and edit short videos and reels for various platforms.
• Utilize AI tools to create and enhance photos and videos.
• Write pitches and scripts for video projects.
• Contribute to various projects assigned by the team.
• Attend all scheduled classes and participate actively.
• Complete assignments and projects assigned during classes.
• Collaborate with fellow interns on group projects and deliver presentations.
• Maintain open communication with supervisors and team members.
• Adhere to deadlines and project timelines.
• Be proactive in seeking out learning opportunities.
